State police cited dozens of people last week for three different car meets over the weekend in the Lehigh Valley

Troopers filed a total of 84 citations for trespassing on private property at three locations Friday and Saturday, according to a state police news release. Numerous vehicles were gathered, and the meets were unsanctioned, the release states.

The car meets were held at 200 Cascade Drive, Hanover Township, Lehigh County; 4150 Coffeetown Road, North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County; and 2800 Liberty Drive, Allen Township, Northampton County, police said.

The Hanover and Allen township properties are industrial parks. The North Whitehall Township address is near a park.

Police have cited people for similar events in recent years. Roughly two years ago, Whitehall police and state police stopped a car meet at 2701 MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township. About 150-200 vehicles were in the parking lot, and there were a large gathering of spectators. Police filed 23 citations and gave out 33 warnings.

More recently, a number of vehicles and  people gathered on Main Street in Stroudsburg, which disrupted traffic and created “substantial danger” to drivers, people and property, borough officials said. A curfew was in effect for days after the incident.
