(WJET/WFXP) — Following a bout of severe weather, city officials have announced when street cleanup will begin.

The City of Erie Government Facebook page announced on Friday that cleaning efforts will begin on Monday, September 14, following severe storms that impacted the area last week.

 Heavy downpours cause flooding on West 12th St. Thursday 

That storm caused thousands of power outages, damage to homes and cars, as well as created countless amounts of debris throughout the city.

Their cleaning schedule is as follows:

Monday, September 14:

West 12th Street to the lake, State Street to Weschler Avenue

East 12th Street to the lake, State Street to East Avenue

Tuesday, September 15:

West 12th Street to the lake, Weschler Avenue to Pittsburgh Avenue

East 12th Street to the lake, East Avenue to Chautauqua Boulevard

Wednesday, September 16:

West 12th Street to West 38th Street

State Street to Pittsburgh Avenue

East 12th Street to East 38th Street

State Street to East Avenue

Thursday, September 17:

West 38th Street to West Grandview Boulevard

Greengarden Boulevard to Pittsburgh Avenue

East 38th Street to East Grandview Boulevard

State Street to Bird Drive

Friday, September 18:

West 38th Street to West Grandview Boulevard

Greengarden Boulevard to Pittsburgh Avenue

East 38th Street to East Grandview Boulevard

State Street to Bird Drive

The city would also like to remind residents to move their vehicles from the street on the days that crews are scheduled to be in the area.
