The 37th Felittese Festival celebrates Italian heritage with three days of live music and lots of food.
OLD FORGE, Pa. — The 37th Felittese Festival kicks off Friday night in Old Forge. Volunteers have been preparing for months.
The Felittese Festival celebrates Italian heritage with three days of live music and, of course, food. It is held by the Felittese Association of Old Forge.
A variety of homemade foods will be served, including porketta, tripe, pizza, and 2,200 pounds of gnocchi. There will be a special ice cream sundae for the event with olive oil and sea salt.
There will be a pizza-eating contest on Saturday night of the festival.
On Sunday, there is a procession from Prince of Peace Parish to the festival grounds at 11:30 a.m.
The Felittese Festival kicks off tonight at 5 p.m. It opens Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at noon.
