• Hannah Gelsinger, a Lebanon Valley College student, will present her senior recital on flute and piccolo on Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. John’s (Hain’s) United Church of Christ, 591 N. Church Road, Lower Heidelberg Township.

• St. John’s Gernant’s Church (A Federated Congregation) 13 Gernant’s Church Road, Ontelaunee Township, will worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Memorial Hall. A trumpet and piano duet will be performed by Shirley Breininger and Richard Koenig called “Psalm for Trumpet.” Fellowship will follow the service. There will be a Christmas bazaar today from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with 28 vendors. There will be food to eat in or take out. Bible study will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. During the month of November, the church is doing “Jesus, Jammies and Joy,” collecting new winter pajamas for children sizes newborn to XXL 18. The pajamas will be distributed through Lighthouse Women and Children’s Center, Mary’s Shelter, Opportunity House, Safe Berks and Schuylkill Hope Center.

• Schwarzwald United Church of Christ, 75 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will be takingorders for its annual sand tart sale starting Monday. • The Men’s Fellowship Group of United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will meet today at 8:30 a.m. at Heidelberg Family Restaurant, 910 W. Penn Ave., Robesonia. The monetary collection for Church World Service blankets continues through Sunday. Veterans will be honored at the 10:15 worship service on Sunday, which will be followed by fellowship time. • The Rev. Barry Spatz will be the guest pastor for the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township. Social time will follow in the multi-purpose room.

• Zion Lutheran Church, 300 W. High St., Womelsdorf, is celebrating Stewardship Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with a guest speaker from Conrad Weiser Food Pantry. A light coffee hour will follow the worship service.

• Licensed lay minister Tanya Kantner will be commissioned and installed on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 1301 Luzerne St., Reading. The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Hope-Tringali, director of new missions for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod, will preach.
