A new local morning show is set to debut today as “Hello Erie” premieres on CBS and Erie News Now Plus.
The live, hourlong program will air weekdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will be co-anchored by Traci Teudhope and Belle Fahey, bringing viewers local stories, community features, special guests and interactive segments.
The premiere episode will feature a lineup of guests from across the Erie community, including Erie Mayor Daria Devlin, Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, local comedian Dale Norman (@RealLifeFunny_e.n.t), the Erie High School cheerleaders and drumline, and the McDowell High School cheerleaders.
Some of Erie’s most beloved mascots will also stop by, including Otto of the Erie Otters and C. Wolf from the Erie SeaWolves.
The celebration continues with bartenders from Hitchey’s Bar and Grill creating a special “Hello Erie” cocktail, appearances by familiar Erie News Now personalities in honor of National Parents Day Off, and a custom cake from AB Creative to mark the launch of the show.
In addition to entertaining and informing viewers, “Hello Erie” aims to showcase the people, places and events that make the Erie region special. The show will also offer opportunities for community members to participate.
Viewers are encouraged to submit a Snapshot of the Day for a chance to have their photo featured on air. Photo submissions can be made through the show’s website.
The program will also spotlight children’s creativity through a feature highlighting Erie-inspired artwork and creations from local kids, giving young viewers a chance to see their work showcased on television.
The debut of “Hello Erie” also brings a change to the CBS daytime lineup. “Live with Kelly and Mark” will move to 10 a.m. following the new program.
