Seven suspected improvised explosives were found Friday in a home in Bethlehem, according to authorities.
City police said the explosives, as well as suspected drugs and packaging materials, were found in a home in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation.
Rondell McNeil, 50, is charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, possessing a weapon of mass destruction, risking catastrophe, prohibited possession of a firearm and misdemeanor drug offenses.
Police searched McNeil’s home after finding crack cocaine on him during a traffic stop earlier, the department said in a news release. After getting a search warrant, police found suspected crack cocaine, marijuana, packaging materials and scales, the release states.
Investigators also found two guns there, according to authorities. McNeil, who has a previous felony conviction, is not allowed to have a firearm. The suspected explosives were found in a bedroom, officials said.
McNeil is free after posting $100,000 bail.
