READING, Pa. – A shooting at a local social club in Reading early Sunday morning left one injured, Reading police say.
On Sunday at approximately 2:33 a.m., officers from the Reading Police Dept. responded to the Riverside Beneficial Social Club, located at 1742 Pear St., for a reported shooting, according to the Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
Officers arrived on location and found a 37-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to his leg in the 100 block of Bern St. Police say the victim was transported to Reading Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say it appears that the shooting was the result of a fight that had occurred within the Riverside Beneficial Social Club.
