The Eagles are looking for depth at the edge rusher position, and with the team set to return to practice on Wednesday, Philadelphia signedTitus Leo after a Tuesday workout.

Philadelphia wasn’t getting to the pressure before Za’Darius Smith retired, and now GM Howie Roseman will undoubtedly have to make a move before the deadline. Currently, the Eagles have Nolan Smith (tricep) on injured reserve and are not expected back till November.

Leo, who is 6-foot-3, played in four NFL games last season with the Patriots, logging four tackles, one for a loss, and a pass defensed. Leo was claimed off waivers by the Titans in April before getting waived in early August.

Philadelphia has four edge rushers on the 53-man roster after Za’Darius Smith’s retirement. Leo joins sixth-round pick Antwaun Powell-Ryland as depth at the position on the practice squad. Ogbo Okoronsko (tricep) is on IR, so his season is likely over. Philadelphia has Jalyx Hunt, Patrick Johnson, Joshua Uche, and Azeez Ojulari as healthy pass rushers.

Bell was a 2024 seventh-round pick by the Patriots out of Florida State after three years at South Carolina. The 6-foot-2 Bell appeared in 15 games last season for New England, catching two passes for 20 yards. The Patriots waived him in August.
