A motorcycle rider was hospitalized in critical condition overnight after, officials said, they struck a concrete barrier and went over the edge of an overpass in the area where I-95 meets I-676 in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.
According to police, the incident happened sometime around 11 p.m. on Monday when a motorcyclist — who officials did not immediately provide additional identifying information on — struck a concrete barrier in the area of the overpass where I-95 meets I-676 in Northern Liberties.
The impact, officials said, threw the rider over the barrier.
Officials said following the crash, the rider was hospitalized in critical condition.
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash and, officials said, that investigation remains ongoing.
