Senator Dan Laughlin has announced that 18 projects within Erie County have been awarded $5,109,357 combined for upgrades to municipal buildings, public safety equipment, water and sewer infrastructure, and heavy machinery for townships and boroughs throughout the district.
The funding was awarded through the Commonwealth’s Local Share Account (LSA) program. According to Laughlin the funding will go directly to the everyday needs of the communities.
“These investments go directly toward the everyday needs of our communities — safer roads, dependable water systems, and the equipment our first responders and public works crews rely on,” Laughlin said.
Gaming revenue is directed by the LSA program back to local governments and organizations for public infrastructure, equipment, and community improvement projects.
