I-81 southbound passing lane to close Thursday in Lackawanna County

LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Drivers should expect a passing-lane closure on southbound Interstate 81 Thursday for bridge deck repairs.

The restriction is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between the Moosic exit, Exit 180, and the Avoca/Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport exit, Exit 178.

Motorists should expect possible delays, allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.
