Two teenagers were hospitalized after gunfire erupted Tuesday night in North Philadelphia, authorities said.
At around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 1800 block of N. Lambert Street, according to police. They found the victims on the nearby 1800 block of N. Woodstock, law enforcement officials said.
Investigators said an 18-year-old man was shot once in the right side of his abdomen, while a 17-year-old boy was grazed just above his right hip. Both were taken to Temple University Hospital and are expected to survive, the PPD stated.
No arrests were made in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, and there was no word on a possible motive. Anyone with information is asked to call the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
Through Sept. 15, 508 people had been shot in Philadelphia, a decrease of 29% compared to the same date last year, according to PPD data.
