An Emmaus woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to illegally voting in the 2024 general election, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Evelyn Miller, 37, a Philippine citizen lawfully living in the country, pleaded guilty before U.S. Judge Scott M. Reid, according to a news release.
The U.S. attorney’s office didn’t give any indication of who Miller voted for.
Under both federal and state law, only U.S. citizens may vote in Pennsylvania.
Miller is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 16 and faces a maximum sentence of one year in prison, one year of supervised release, a $100,000 fine and a $25 special assessment.
This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI.
