“Tonight we played pretty well, especially considering we were down two players. Our first game against Baxter was rough, but we picked it up against Erie. Our last game wasn’t our best, but better than when we started the night. And the girls that got pulled up had great energy!” – Jr. Elena White.
I think we played really hard in our last two games. We know what we need to work on, and once we get everything together, it is going to be so fun. Everybody had great energy at times and did some good things tonight. We need to stay out of our heads and keep encouraging each other and play volleyball because that’s why we are here. – Jr. Gabby Ulepich.
“Overall, tonight was a win for us as a team, maybe not in the scoreboard book, but for sure for us moving forward. At times we played some great volleyball, and at times we didn’t. We know where we want to be as a team. And I believe these girls will get there. We had two starters out from injuries: Sr. Middle Reece Myers and so. Libero Addy Ulepich. So we had to make some adjustments and bring some JV girls up, and they did well; they had great energy and a willingness to go wherever they were needed. We are going to continue to improve in practice. It is the beginning of the season. We are heading in the right direction. Also, a huge shout-out to our JV and C team girls to cheer us on, and boy did they rock it!- Head Coach Maya White
