Crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike clears after causing heavy delays in Lancaster County
EAST COCALICO TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A crash blocked traffic and caused heavy delays on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County on Thursday morning.

The wreck happened on I-76 eastbound just east of the Reading Interchange at Exit 286 in East Cocalico Township at 9:30 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the turnpike were temporarily shut down as emergency crews responded to the scene. Turnpike officials said the left lane of I-76 eastbound eventually reopened to allow the backlog to move through.
The scene has since cleared, and all lanes have reopened.
At this time, it’s unclear how many vehicles were involved and if anyone was injured.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
