Crews respond to accident involving garbage truck in the South Hills
It happened Thursday morning on Painters Run Road right on the border of Upper St. Clair and Scott Township.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving a garbage truck in the city’s South Hills Thursday morning.
It happened on Painters Run Road on the border of Scott Township and Upper St. Clair.
According to emergency crews on scene, a garbage truck crashed into a pole, bringing down wires in the area.
At this point, it is still unclear if anyone was injured.
Emergency officials are asking people to avoid the area. The delays will likely be in place throughout the morning commute as the crews continue to clean up the area.
