EASTON, Pa. – A beloved flower shop will continue blooming at a new location in Northampton County.
Bloomies, offering fresh flower arrangements, houseplants, gifts and more, within the next couple of weeks is planning to move from 21 N. Second St. in downtown Easton to a new location at 327 Cattell St. in Easton’s College Hill neighborhood, owner Pippa Moody told 69 News.

Bloomies was established roughly 20 years ago, and Moody took over operations in 2023.
“I’m hoping to hold a soft opening in the new space sometime next week, but if that’s not feasible, we’ll definitely be there on Oct. 1,” Moody said. “I’m just waiting on a new cooler to be delivered.”
The upcoming move was prompted by a large increase in rent at the shop’s current location, Moody said.
“It’s bittersweet,” Moody said.
“I didn’t want to move, but there was a steep increase in rent. So I really had no other choice. Originally, I was very upset, but now I’m just really excited to have a bright, new space. It’s going to be on College Hill, where I live, and I’m looking forward to making it a real community spot. There’s a lot of homes and families that live within walking distance of the building, and we’re going to be carrying even more gifts and ready-to-go arrangements.”

Bloomies offers a wide array of fresh floral arrangements for all occasions, including birthdays, funerals, weddings, anniversaries, holidays and graduation celebrations.
Beautiful designs showcase various premium blooms, including hydrangea, roses, carnations, sunflowers, snapdragons and dianthus, among others.
Custom arrangements can be made to show appreciation, celebrate births and other special moments and lift spirits during illness and other difficult times.
The shop offers delivery of its floral arrangements within a roughly 15-mile radius, serving customers in other parts of the Lehigh Valley such as Bangor, Nazareth and Bethlehem as well as western New Jersey, Moody said.
A selection of pre-made arrangements that customers can purchase during walk-in visits will expand at the new location, situated about a mile north of its current spot, Moody said.

On College Hill, Bloomies also will offer a wider assortment of gifts, including locally made soaps, candies, greetings cards and stuffed animals, Moody said.
Moody likes to support other local businesses as much as possible, with some Easton-based products including candles from Easton Candle Co. and chocolates from Chocodiem.
“I love Chocodiem chocolates, but because I’m British, I also carry some British chocolates as well,” she added.
Bloomies was established by Terri Freeman roughly 20 years ago, and Moody took over operations from Katie Antonson in 2023.

Moody finds joy in brightening people’s days and playing a part in special moments by crafting beautiful, fragrant and one-of-a-kind floral creations.
“I love what I do,” Moody said. “I have a couple of weddings this week, which is always very fun.”
On College Hill, Bloomies will operate next to Mexico Lindo Mexican restaurant and will occupy an updated space that previously housed a yoga studio.
Moody looks forward to bringing a florist back to her College Hill neighborhood, filling a void left by the closure of the longstanding Posey Peddler flower shop a few doors down more than a decade ago.
At its current location, Bloomies operates 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Hours will expand at the new location, Moody said.
“The shop will continue to operate Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m going to stay open later because I feel like a lot of people need items when they’re driving home from work,” Moody said.
“That seems to be a lot of people’s open time frame for availability. So, I’m planning to stay open until 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 5 p.m. on Wednesdays.”
Additionally, individuals will still be able to find Bloomies’ floral arrangements downtown via a new partnership with Pie + Tart at 349 Northampton St.
“Starting Friday, September 18th, you can grab pre wrapped bouquets from Bloomie’s at PIE+TART!” Moody announced on the business’ social media pages.
“Enjoy a cup coffee and don’t forget to smell the flowers! Pre wrapped bouquets available while supplies last.”
