WASHINGTON (TNND) — Multiple female college students who attend York College of Pennsylvania reported an attack and harassment by a mob.
The unidentified students claimed their hair was pulled, they were punched and beaten while sitting on the front porch of their off-campus house Saturday.
Video footage circulating online shows the suspects pummeling one of the students. Another group of suspects punched another girl on the footage.
The students said that the whole incident started when one of the suspects accosted the group outside the house and they told them to leave, according to the New York Post.
“One of the cars street racing smashed into a parked car by the firehouse, which is right next to the house,” one of the girls said. “When this happened, all of the townies migrated over towards the house and on the grass. We all asked them to move off the property, and that’s when everything erupted.”
One student said the cops didn’t do anything to help protect them, saying that 911 was called five times before the police showed up.
“It feels like they’re scared to get involved with these people, but then it puts us at risk when they’re doing nothing,” the student stated.
