ERIE, Pa.–Paced by freshman Kelsi Lott’s (Leechburg, Pa., Kiski) fifth-place individual finish, the Westminster women’s cross country team posted a fourth-place finish Friday at the Penn State Behrend Twilight Meet.
California (Pa.) won the five-team, six-kilometer event with a team score of 27. Westminster totaled 81 points. California (Pa.) senior Rosalyn Perozzi won the individual title with a time of 23 minutes, 11.38 seconds.
Lott, the highest-finishing freshman at the 34-runner event, finished with a time of 25:37.16. Sophomore Callie Reaugh (Blairsville, Pa., River Valley) was 11th with a time of 27:08.66, while freshman Tessa Ward (Erie, Pa., Harbor Creek) finished 22nd with a time of 30:13.02. Sophomores Abby Perrine (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) and Gabby Armlin (Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburg Central) were 25th (31:32.45) and 26th (32:20.50), respectively.

Westminster will compete at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. The six-kilometer event will be held at the Gorby Family Cross Country Course in Canfield, Ohio.
