Scranton Police arrested Tyquan Fields, 33, following a Sept. 15, 2026, slashing on Jackson Street that left a man hospitalized with a neck wound.
LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A 33-year-old Scranton man is facing charges after police say he slashed another man’s neck with a knife during an altercation in the 1200 block of Jackson Street.
According to Scranton police, officers responded to Geisinger Community Medical Center on September 15, 2026, for a report of a man with a laceration to his neck.

The victim told officers he had been involved in a physical altercation with a man he knew as “Ty.” Investigators determined the two men knew each other and had agreed to meet over a dispute involving a woman.
Police identified the suspect as Tyquan Fields after witnesses provided information about a vehicle associated with him.
The department’s Major Crimes Unit conducted additional interviews and gathered evidence that allegedly identified Fields as the man who slashed the victim’s neck.
The victim was released from the hospital the following day.
Police say Fields turned himself in at Scranton Police Headquarters after an arrest warrant was obtained.
He is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
