On Friday night, members of the Erie Fire Department took on a new role at Voodoo Brewing Company.
The team of firefighters competing in the Firefighter Challenge National Championship were raising money as celebrity bartenders.
The team was pouring pints all night long, giving the community a chance to get behind them before competing in the championship right here in Erie.
Funds raised will make sure the team is competition ready.
“If we want to get serious about it and see if we can actually become competitive in any way, we gotta keep up with the Joneses and wear the same gear, get some of the same gear, lighten our load so that we can move a little faster because every little bit helps,” said Marshall Hunsaker, an Erie Fire Department firefighter.
The Firefighter Challenge kicks off in Perry Square on Wednesday.
