One taken to the hospital after motorcycle crash in South Shore

PITTSBURGH —

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon with serious injuries following a crash near Station Square.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when a westbound vehicle made an illegal U-turn, causing the motorcyclist to collide with the other vehicle’s rear passenger side.

The driver remained on scene and was issued a citation.
