The 2nd Annual James P. McAndrew Youth Sports Foundation Softball Tournament Fundraiser takes place at Battaglia-Cawley Field in Scranton on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. This family-friendly event brings together players, families and supporters to raise funds for local youth sports programs and opportunities for young athletes.
The day features an adult softball tournament, where teams compete in a fun and competitive atmosphere, along with a special kids softball game that gives young players a chance to showcase their skills. Participants can also step up to the plate during the Home Run Derby and compete for the longest hits of the day.
Off the field, guests can enjoy food and drinks, raffles and prizes, a bounce house, kids games and activities, face painting, a fire truck appearance and an ice cream truck. Whether playing, cheering on a team or spending time with family, there are activities for all ages throughout the day.
