Erie police are investigating after a truck apparently backed into a building at 18th and State streets Saturday night.
The truck was in the parking lot of a Chinese takeout restaurant when it apparently backed into the business next door.
The truck appears to have struck the building with considerable force.
It happened around 9 p.m., causing damage to the structure and doorway of Antonio & Sons Contracting at 18th and State streets.
Police responded to the scene and taped off the area as a precaution while officers assessed the damage.
Authorities have not said whether the building was left structurally unsound.
The incident will be turned over to traffic investigators.
Police have not yet said whether the driver will face any charges.
