After a weekend filled with Irish tradition, dishes, and music, the Erie Irish Fest wrapped up Sunday evening.
The festival welcomed thousands over the weekend, serving up traditional dishes and Irish brews with plenty of games and activities to test the luck of the Irish.
Emma’s Footprints marks 11 years supporting grieving families
Proceeds from the weekend directly supported Saint Patrick’s Sister Mary Pascal Gray Food Pantry, benefiting nearly 200 local families every week.
Organizers said it’s a celebration of the Irish culture we have right here in Erie, with a goal of giving back to the community.

“Every little bit helps. You know, they try to create almost like a stockpile, just to be able to have extra for when additional families come in, so it’s nice to be able to at least create that, especially going into the winter months,” said Mary Therese Causgrove, chairperson of the Erie Irish Festival.
Now that the festival has come to a close, the countdown to St. Patrick’s Day is officially underway for next spring.
