An open charge of homicide has been filed after a 24-year-old man in Wilson was fatally shot by his brother, authorities say.
The shooting occurred in the family home on the 2200 block of Birch Street around midnight Saturday. The brother was declared dead at the hospital shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday, Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta said Sunday afternoon.
It appears to be a domestic case, but there are few other details available at this time, Baratta said.
Baratta did not name the suspected shooter.
