Philadelphia is bringing back one of its best.
The Eagles are signing tight end Zach Ertz to the practice squad, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday.
Ertz, who is coming off a torn ACL suffered while playing for the Commanders last season, began his career as a 2013 second-round draft pick by the Eagles. He racked up 579 receptions, 6,267 yards and 38 touchdowns for Philly over a stretch of eight-plus seasons that included three Pro Bowl campaigns and a Super Bowl victory.
He was traded during the 2021 campaign to the Cardinals, for whom he played through 2023, and then spent a pair of seasons in Washington. He currently sits at 8,592 receiving yards and 57 TDs on 825 career catches.
