We are now into the autumn season, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, which means the start of fall festivals around the Erie area.
These festivals provide a true seasonal experience while combining harvest traditions and sensory experiences including the fall foliage, which you can only find during this time of year.

Fall Harvest Festival at Port Farms
The Fall Harvest takes place at Port Farms through Nov. 1 at 2055 Stone Quarry Road in Waterford.
Port Farm’s fall festival season, which began Sept. 12, will run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Columbus Day on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This festival has more than 35 family-friendly attractions including a five-acre corn maze, corn box, giant slides, wagon rides, barnyard blasters, farm animals and jumping pillows.
Admission (including fees) to Fall Fest is $17.43 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Columbus Day, and $21.56 on Saturdays and Sundays. Special rates are available for season passes and more.
Pumpkintown at Mason Farms
Pumpkintown at Mason Farms at 839 Peninsula Drive started Sept. 10 and runs Sundays through Thursdays, 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., through Halloween.
Pumpkintown includes displays, a petting zoo, cornstalk maze, haunted house, inflatable slides and attractions, and a concession stand. Admission is free with individual ride tickets costing $1.75, while a Ride A Rama pass is $18 ($12 during Pumpkintown Jr. weekday hours 9 a.m.-1 p.m.) and a season pass is $45.
Peek’n Peak Fall Fest
The 38th annual Fall Fest at Peek’n Peak Resort at 1405 Old Road in Clymer, New York, takes place during two weekends in October. Fall Fest at Peek’n Peak runs Oct. 10 -11 and Oct. 17-18.
When families attend Fall Fest, they will find a juried craft show with over 100 vendors displaying handmade crafts, a farmer’s market filled with local vendors, live music, children’s games, petting zoo, a chance to ride the ski lift, zip-line courses, a car show and other children’s attractions.

Admission to Fall Fest at Peek’n Peak is free.
Pumpkinfest at Conneaut Lake
The 36th annual Fall Pumpkin Fest will take place on Oct. 9-11 at Conneaut Lake Park at 12382 Center St.
Attendees will find amusement rides, pony rides, pumpkin drops, a pie eating contest and more.
Pittsburgh recording artist Curtis and the Shakerz on Oct. 10 and Washboard Tony and Rockin Rob on Oct. 11 will be among the live music acts at the Pumpkin Fest.
11th annual Harvest Fest in Albion
The 11th annual Harvest Fest takes place at 10410 High St. in Albion on Oct. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This family-friendly event is free and includes a costume contest, vendors, food trucks, games, an open mic, a haunted photo booth, and the annual pumpkin roll.

Festival officials will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Albion Blessing Box.
Fall Fest and craft show in Waterford
The Hope on Horseback’s Fall Fest and craft show takes place at Mound Grove Golf Course 10760 Donation Road on Oct. 18 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This festival includes more than 50 crafters and vendors, live music, food, children’s activities and more. Funds from the festival will support Hope on Horseback.
