BRAZIL, Ind. (WTHI) – A Brazil, Indiana man has been arrested in a cold case murder in Erie County, Pennsylvania.
Prosecutors have charged 50-year-old David Heck with first-degree murder, kidnapping and rape.
The case dates back to June 24, 2002.
Heck’s arrest was announced by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday and Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz.
They say Heck took 20-year-old Sabrina Kahler swimming.

They believe he took her to a wooded area near Lake Erie, where he raped and killed her.
Sabrina’s body has never been recovered.
Police arrested Heck late Monday night at his home.
An accomplice told a grand jury he helped Heck dispose of the victim’s body.
Heck also allegedly confessed to a cellmate of the crime.
