UNION TWP., Pa. – A truck driver was injured after a tri-axle dump truck overturned in Berks County on Wednesday.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Ethan Brownback said the overturned vehicle spilled gravel onto Route 724, which closed a portion of the road between Shed and Red Corner Road.
Officials confirmed that the road reopened around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Brownback said the driver of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was brought to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.
The driver’s current condition and the events that led up to the accident remain unknown at this time.
