Man stabbed after argument on bus in Pittsburgh | Suspect tased after confrontation with police
PITTSBURGH —
A man was stabbed in the stomach after an argument on a bus in Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities were called to the reported stabbing around 1 p.m. at the 5000 block of Penn Avenue.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the argument turned physical after the victim and the other man got off of the bus.
The suspect, who has not been identified, stabbed the victim once in the stomach and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he is stable but in serious condition.
Officials say the suspect was found in the 5400 block of Baum Boulevard. Authorities say he resisted arrest and became confrontational.
Authorities say the man had to be evaluated after authorities deployed a taser. He has since been cleared and taken to Allegheny County Jail.
