The Michael Steiner American Legion Jessup Auxiliary, Unit 411 held its installation of officers at the post on Aug. 10 for the coming year. Tina Haggerty, district president for the Lackawanna-Susquehanna Council, performed the ceremony. The event followed with a celebratory snack and cake. Anyone interested in joining may contact a Jessup member or President Karen Rapoch at 570-877-4845. The unit has several events planned for 2027. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m., at the American Legion Post, 508 Church St., Jessup.
