BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Township School District becomes the first in Bucks County to begin the 2025-2026 school year when students return to classes on Monday.

Over the past week, the school district prepared for the new year with a pep rally, cheerleaders, athletes, student ambassadors, a Walk the Halls, and the Bensalem High School Marching Owls.

On Wednesday, school district staff members kicked off the 2025–2026 school year with an annual convocation.

The BHS Owls Ambassadors clapped as staff arrived. In the auditorium, the BHS marching band entertained and energized the crowd as each school mascot joined in the fun. After Schools Superintendent Samuel Lee welcomed everyone back, he introduced legendary college basketball coach Phil Martelli as guest speaker.
