A portion of Route 22 in Northampton County will close this weekend while roadwork is completed.
Work will begin on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway between Route 191 and Route 33 starting at 8 p.m. Saturday, initially causing delays, according to a state police news release.
Then, both directions of travel on Route 22 will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. Sunday.
During the closure, drivers will not be able to exit onto Route 191 when traveling eastbound. Additionally, those traveling westbound will not be able to exit either southbound or northbound onto Route 33, the release states.
