Simple assault
A 34-year-old male, of East Paoli Street, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after he allegedly threw rocks and a vaping device at a vehicle during a dispute with several juveniles in the area of South Filbert Street and East Paoli Street Sept. 11, according to Salisbury police. The male also allegedly spit into the vehicle and kicked one of the occupants in the vehicle during the incident.
Retail theft
A 35-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly entered supermarket Giant, South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., loaded approximately $416.60 worth of items into a shopping cart and tried to leave the store without paying, according to Salisbury police. “Upon reaching the exit the security wheels on the shopping cart locked,” according to a press release. He fled in a vehicle and was later identified. The incident was reported Sept. 15.
DUI
A 28-year-old male, of Allentown, was arrested Sept. 12 for allegedly driving under the influence and two motor vehicle code violations in the 200 block of East Emmaus Avenue after officers found him in a disabled vehicle following a crash in Allentown, according to Salisbury police.
A 35-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was arrested Sept. 12 for allegedly driving under the influence and two motor vehicle code violations in the area of Seidersville Road and Nantucket Circle, according to Salisbury police.
A 35-year-old female, of Easton, was arrested Sept. 13 for allegedly driving under the influence and two motor vehicle code violations in the 1400 block of Seidersville Road, according to Salisbury police.
A 23-year-old male, of Fountain Hill, was arrested Sept. 15 for allegedly driving under the influence and three motor vehicle code violations in the 1600 block of Broadway, according to Salisbury police.
A 31-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was arrested Sept. 19 for allegedly driving under the influence and two motor vehicle code violations in the 1600 block of Broadway, according to Salisbury police.
False reports
A 20-year-old male, of Allentown, reported his vehicle had been struck by an unknown vehicle while parked in the parking lot at Giant, South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., Aug. 23, according to Salisbury police. Officers investigated and reviewed security footage, which showed the vehicle had not been struck in the lot. The male later admitted he fabricated the report and had actually struck a pole while in Allentown. The male was charged with false reports to law enforcement authorities.
Protection from abuse violation
A 35-year-old male, of Cranberry Township, was arrested Sept. 11 outside of a residence in the 1200 block of Fretz Avenue after allegedly violating a protection from abuse order, according to Salisbury police.
Drug arrest
A 16-year-old female, of Bethlehem, was charged with alleged possession of a small amount of marijuana, general lighting equipments and a junior driver’s license violation she was stopped in the 1600 block of Broadway for operating a motor vehicle without working headlights Sept. 15, according to Salisbury police.
Wanted person
A 21-year-old male, of Pittstown, was taken into custody Sept. 17 on an active arrest warrant out of Plymouth borough, according to Salisbury police.
Unwanted person
On Sept. 14 officers responded to a home in the 1300 block of Maumee Avenue for an unwanted person, according to Salisbury police. The person left without incident.
Suspicious person
On Sept. 14 a resident along Olivia Circle reported a person prowling around their residence in the very early hours of the morning. The person was recorded on home security video, according to Salisbury police. Multiple other residents in the area reported vehicle break-ins around the same time. The Salisbury Township Police Department reminds all residents to lock their vehicle doors and to never leave keys or valuables inside.
Simple possession
A student at Salisbury Township High School was charged Sept. 15 with simple possession after allegedly having a vaping device that tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol while at the school, 500 E. Montgomery St., according to Salisbury police.
Disturbances
On Sept. 13 township officers were called to a disturbance at a home in the 1300 block of Maumee Avenue, according to Salisbury police.
On Sept. 15 township officers were called to a disturbance in the 1100 block of East Emmaus Avenue, according to Salisbury police.
On Sept. 16 township officers were called to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Maumee Avenue, according to Salisbury police.
On Sept. 18 a woman allegedly slapped another person in a parking lot at Arts Academy Charter School during a possible road rage incident, according to Salisbury police.
Shots fired
On Sept. 12 officers responded to Mountain Top Lane and East Rock Road for a report of shots fired, according to Salisbury police. Officers checked the area but did not find anyone.
On Sept. 14 officers responded to Walking Purchase Park, Constitution Drive, for a report of shots fired in the area, according to Salisbury police. Officers checked the area but did not find anyone.
Assist fire department
On Sept. 18 officers responded to the 2300 block of Spring Lane for an outdoor recreational fire that grew out of control, according to Salisbury police. Officers assisted as needed.
Mutual aid
On Sept. 12 officers assisted Fountain Hill Police with serving an arrest warrant at a home in the 1100 block of Sioux Street, according to Salisbury police. One person was taken into custody without incident.
School bus violations
Between Sept. 10 and Sept. 19 six automated school bus camera violations were approved bringing this school year’s total to 20 approved violations, according to Salisbury police. Additionally, one motorist was stopped by officers and issued a state traffic citation after illegally passing a school bus.
