BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – On Thursday, Crime Alert Berks County celebrated a successful year of helping the police make arrests.
The group hosted its ninth annual awards breakfast at the Redner’s Event Center in Reading.
A criminal justice major at Reading Area Community College received a scholarship, and awards went to Reading Area Community College President Susan Looney, Spring Township police detective Robert Long, and Board Member Alan Kline.
District Attorney John Adams gave the group a check for $15,000.
