The Lackawanna County commissioners honored the work of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library with a proclamation. Founded in 1995, this free book-gifting program mails high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to children from birth to age 5, regardless of family income. The Imagination Library has distributed over 100,000 books to children in Lackawanna County, reflecting a commitment to literacy, education and equal opportunity.
