A new art exhibition opened to the public Thursday, offering visitors more than just a visual experience. The Erie Homes for Children and Adults (EHCA) hosted the fourth edition of its Unspoken Symphony program, an innovative showcase that transforms artwork into music.
The program features artwork created by individuals served by EHCA. Through a specialized service, each painting is analyzed and converted into an original musical composition based on elements such as brush strokes, color choices, texture, and overall composition.
Guests attending the exhibition were able to not only view the artwork but also hear each piece come to life through music. A pianist performed the compositions generated from the paintings, creating a multi-sensory experience that connected visual art with sound.
Organizers say the event highlights the creativity and talents of the artists while providing a unique way for audiences to engage with their work.
All of the artwork featured in the exhibition is available for purchase through the EHCA website. Each piece also includes a QR code that allows buyers to listen to the custom song inspired by the artwork, creating a lasting connection between the visual piece and its musical counterpart.
Now in its fourth year, Unspoken Symphony continues to showcase the artistic abilities of EHCA participants while exploring new ways to celebrate creativity through both art and music.
