A block party on Erie’s east side brought families and neighbors together Saturday for a day focused on connection, support, and community.

Rodger Young Park on Buffalo Road served as the site of the family-friendly event, which offered a free picnic, clothing donations, and information about vital services available to area residents.

Local musicians performed throughout the event, while children enjoyed a variety of activities designed to keep families engaged and entertained.

Erie County United and Erie’s Black Wall Street were among the organizations hosting the event, working to connect community members with resources and one another.

Organizers said the goal was simple: to bring people together and strengthen neighborhood connections. Several community leaders also attended, joining residents for an afternoon dedicated to fellowship, support, and community building.
