A 19-year-old man was killed Saturday evening in a shooting at a Catasauqua home, authorities said.

The incident unfolded just before 5 p.m. at the residence in the 200 block of Edward Lane. The Allentown teen was pronounced dead at 5:46 p.m. at the scene, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said.

The death was from a gunshot wound and the manner was ruled a homicide by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Buglio said his office is withholding the identity of the deceased until an autopsy is completed on Monday.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting or whether any suspects are in custody.

Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan said Sunday morning the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force is “actively investigating” the case. The DA was expected to release more information at a later time.

The incident remains under investigation by Catasauqua police, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Also assisting are Pennsylvania State Police in Bethlehem and the North Catasauqua Police Department.
