EXETER TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — A long-standing tradition in Berks County is ending after someone was hurt during a homecoming bonfire that blew up.
That blast happened on Thursday at the Exeter Township School District Homecoming.
Members of the fire department were on hand when the unexpected explosion occurred.
It caused debris to be tossed, which hurt someone.
The fire department is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the event.
The school district says it will now discontinue the bonfire during future Homecoming festivities.
