PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The calendar has turned to October and the Philadelphia Zoo is ready for spooky season!
“Boo at the Zoo” returns this weekend.
And this year, the popular event extends through the entire month of October for the first time in its 20 year history.
That means five weekends of fall fun, trick-or-treating and Halloween costume contests.
The giant animal skeletons and hippos chomping pumpkins will return, along with other fall family favorites.
There’s also some new events, like a SEPTA “Boo Choo” train ride and an apple cider bar.
