A new Spanish radio station is broadcasting across the Lehigh Valley.
VP Broadcasting, owner of Mega 101.7 FM, announced the launch of La Kalle 106.5, formerly known as Latina 106.5.
The Spanish-speaking station will feature programming with a strong Dominican focus, including radio shows originating in the Dominican Republic.
It will be a mix of music, news, culture, community information and programming.
“We want to create a station that feels familiar, relevant, and connected to the people we serve—especially our Dominican listeners,” said Victor Martinez, owner of VP Broadcasting, in a statement. “La Kalle will bring the energy, music, voices, and programming that our community enjoys from the Dominican Republic, while Mega 101.7 will continue its successful tradition of serving the broader Latino community.”
La Kalle 106.5 FM is expected to serve listeners throughout Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and surrounding communities.
