The YèShì Chinatown Night Market will take over Philadelphia‘s Chinatown streets on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year’s market will feature more than 90 vendors, including Chinatown restaurants, food trucks, artists, crafters, and local organizations from across the region.

Food vendors, live performances, arts and crafts, and shopping will take over 10th Street between Arch and Winter streets, and Race Street between Ninth and 11th streets.

Beyond food, the market will highlight arts, crafts, and community activities to showcase Chinatown’s culture.

Entrance points are Arch and 10th streets, Winter and 10th streets, Race and Ninth streets, and Race and 11th streets. Admission to the market is free; the event will take place rain or shine.

Since the 11th Street Market-Frankford Line station is closed for construction, attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or use public transit. Alternative transit options are 8th-Market, 13th Street, and Chinatown Station on the Broad Street Line.

The event, organized by the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation, began in 2011 to support neighborhood businesses and attract visitors, with crowds exceeding 20,000 in prior years, according to the PhillyVoice.
