WESLEYVILLE, Pa. — Wesleyville Borough will host a chili and soup cookoff Sunday to raise money for its annual Community Day.
The event will run from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 4 at Wesleyville Borough on Market Street.
Twenty-five participants, including borough departments, residents, organizations, churches and businesses, will offer chili and soup samples. Attendees can vote for their favorites, with trophies awarded to the top two entries in each category.
The event will also feature children’s games and activities, a 50/50 raffle, a DJ, ice cream, freeze pops and drinks.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 12.
The event will be held rain or shine, with the borough social hall and fire department available if needed.
Money raised will benefit Wesleyville Community Day, a free event held each June. Shirts designed by RJ’s Custom Works will also be sold, with a portion of each sale donated to Community Day.
