HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — The hiring cycle is now open for the next class of Pennsylvania state troopers.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. They also must be at least 20 years old at the time of application and 21, or no older than 40, upon entry into the academy.

Cadet training lasts about 28 weeks and includes formal coursework on Pennsylvania crime and vehicle codes, physical fitness activities, vehicle training, and more.
