On the second Sunday of each month, Erie residents come out for the thrill of the hunt, for deals, that is.

Gem City Flea Market had over 50 vendors selling antiques, vinyl records, comic books and other unique treasures.

The market is a family-friendly event offering something for people of all ages.

Shoppers not only supported local vendors but also the local nonprofit, Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary and Adoption Center.

Robert Kitchen, Gem City Flea Market organizer, said, “You never know what you’re going to find, it’s the fun of the hunt. Other than big box shopping, this is kind of small, supporting local vendors and small businesses in Erie County. It’s so important to support local, and we sponsor an Erie animal shelter each and every month. I just want to make sure that everybody understands that.”

The Gem City Flea Market will be back on Sunday, December 14.
