CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) — The school nurse at Camden Catholic High School was honored Monday for saving the life of a co-worker.

Kelly McMullin was surprised with proclamations by federal, state and county leaders for her lifesaving actions.

Last May, Kelly helped Chris Fine, who works as a dining hall volunteer, as he was experiencing a cardiac emergency.

“When she did come to me, she kept me calm and the ambulance got here very quick,” said Fine. “If anybody knows anything about the widowmaker, you don’t have much time. I had a 100% blockage.”

Chris was then taken to the hospital and got the care he needed to save his life.
