Pittsburgh Police seek driver in Spring Garden hit-and-run

Motorcyclist, passenger taken to hospital after collision with black Hyundai Elantra on Spring Garden Avenue

PITTSBURGH —

Pittsburgh police are looking for the driver of a car that was involved in a hit-and-run collision with a motorcycle in the city’s Spring Garden Avenue neighborhood.

The motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to the hospital in serious condition after the crash in the 800 block of Spring Garden Avenue, police said. It happened just after 10 p.m. Oct. 1.

Investigators are searching for a 2026 black Hyundai Elantra that was seen heading south on Brownsville Road and turning onto Sankey Avenue after the crash.

Police said the license plate is NGD 4703, with the new Pennsylvania design, and that the vehicle was missing a front bumper and a right headlight.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pittsburgh police detectives with the collision investigation unit at 412-432-4775.
