Phyllis K. Mehrman
OBITUARY
Phyllis Mehrman, 100, of Allentown, passed away at home on Monday, October 5, 2026. She and her husband, Sheldon J. Mehrman, celebrated 52 years of marriage, at the time of his passing, on December 1, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Rose (Grubel) Green. Phyllis received her BA from Pratt Institute and went on to work in New York City as an Industrial Design Artist. Upon moving to Allentown, she was employed in the same capacity for the former Hess’s Department Store. Phyllis then married the love of her life, Sheldon, and assisted her husband in various family businesses.
Survivors: Daughter, Marcie Mehrman Ziskind and her husband, Scot; Son, Matthew Mehrman; Grandchildren, Miles (Maebh), Lev (Alexa), Jonathan and Emily; and many beloved Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by a Grandson, Harrison Ziskind; and Sister, Gloria Perkin.
Services: Graveside, 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 2438 Coolidge St., Allentown, PA 18104. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
